Grants

Delta Foundation makes grants that promote and support community initiatives and charitable organizations.

We bring local knowledge, experience and a network of community relationships to our grant making.

In making its grant decisions, the Foundation relies on the expert advice of a Grants Committee, which is made up of volunteers who are knowledgeable about local issues and activities.

To ensure you do not miss a funding opportunity, we encourage community organizations to subscribe to our social media (provide links) or visit this web page monthly to view our granting schedule.

All applicants must review the General Application Guidelines, at right, to determine eligibility and to learn more about what we do and do not fund.

Your organization should verify that it qualifies for the grant program prior to submitting an application. If you would like to discuss your project before completing an application, please contact us.

Please see the steps in applying for a grant, at the right side of this page.

To begin, all grants applications must submit a letter outlining the proposed project and complete an application form in four pages or less. The letter should:
  • introduce your organization and its mandate;
  • state the community priorities the project will address;
  • detail the scope of the project, including a timeline;
  • demonstrate community support for the project;
  • provide a detailed budget, including funding from all other sources.
Delta Foundation will accept and review grant proposals twice per year. Each year the call for proposals will be announced on our website and through social media.

Please contact us at grants@deltafoundation.org prior to spending a lot of time on your application. We can give you a general idea if your application will qualify.
